The Elevate Edit / Backstage Notes / Act 6
What if I choose a different response?
A rehearsal is permission to try another take.

A familiar line arrives: “It has to be perfect before anyone sees it.” Instead of arguing with that line, rehearse another one: “What would a useful first version look like?”
The Inner Cast quiz lets you go back and choose again. That is deliberate. Its characters are creative prompts, not diagnoses, personality scores or predictions of how you will behave.
Rehearse a very ordinary scene
Choose a low-stakes moment: asking a question, sending a draft, requesting a break. Write your usual line. Write an alternative that is realistic—not heroic. Say it quietly or simply read it. Decide whether to use it later.
RAZ checks the cue sheet. “New line. Same actor. We can work with that.”
Rehearsal does not guarantee an outcome. Other people still make their own choices. You can practice your contribution without taking responsibility for the whole scene.
